Up Close & Personal is our Health and Wellness Initiative. In 2023, we hosted a six-part workshop series promoting  inclusivity, diversity, and awareness to combat racism through education and dialogue; the workshop topics are:

  • Workshop 1 : Understanding the many faces of Racism
  • Workshop 2: Leadership and Antiracism 
  • Workshop 3: Understanding the Minority Student/Youth in the Context of the Canadian Society – addressing cross-cultural awareness, nuances of home life and society (It takes a village for us to rise above racism)
  • Workshop 4: What is Allyship and how to be an Ally 
  • Workshop 5: Police Action in the Community
  • Workshop 6: Antiracism Solutions That Work
